Brought on board as a Consultant in 2010, David is now managing our Public Diplomacy Practice and building strategies to develop our methods abroad. Prior to coming to the States in 2009, he served as a political advisor for a member of the Belgian government, and then for a member of Parliament, with a strong focus on International politics, crisis communication and campaign management.
David's primary goal is to find innovative ways of linking the best practices of business, politics, communication and culture. His passion for the Internet and social media began at age 15, when he designed his first social network. Later, he transformed his interest into results by managing a 2009 electoral campaign in Belgium, putting a strong effort in social media communication. David is on the board of many non-profit organizations ranging from civic engagement to cultural initiatives. He is involved in the Belgian American Chamber of Commerce as the Vice-President of the New England Chapter and he remains active in professional organizations such as the Motu Novu Federation of Professionals and Boston World Partnerships.
David holds a Master's Degree in European Studies and a Bachelor's in Political Science from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He is fluent in French and English and speaks some Flemish.
Personal Insights:
David is passionate about culture and music. He produced one of the largest music festivals in Brussels, whose main goal was to promote young artists by providing them with media coverage and a large audience. He spends his free time playing tennis, walking his dog, and writing. |
