Named one of TIME Magazine's 25 future leaders from around the world, Gorick is currently a freshman at Harvard College studying Economics and Government. Prior to joining SocialSphere, he represented 250,000 students as Student Trustee of the Toronto District School Board and then 2 million students as President of the Ontario Student Trustees' Association. While serving on the largest school board in Canada, Gorick authored a city-wide policy insuring transparency and accountability around the collection of student fees. He has also successfully mandated democratically-elected student councils in schools across the city and worked with the provincial government to revamp the Civics and Careers curriculum.
Since attending college, Gorick has served as Director of Human Resources at Harvard Student Agencies, the world’s largest student-run corporation, and has been heavily involved with the Harvard University Institute of Politics. He has also served as a policy advisor intern to the Ontario Minister of Research and Innovation. Gorick is passionate about public service, youth engagement, and the role of social media in changing the way people think, behave, and communicate.
