Kim Ramsdell joined the SocialSphere team in 2011 as Director of Operations. Prior to joining SocialSphere, Kim worked for three years with a team of engineers and scientists at one of the world’s leading suppliers of technology, equipment and services to the power generation industry. One of this company's largest initiatives was advancing state-of-the-art air pollution control technologies with CO2 capture. Most recently, Kim was consulting with various startups at the Cambridge Innovation Center to create investment models, design market research efforts and develop fundraising strategies.
Kim has a strong interest in policy development and its impact on business strategy. Her previous work on mitigating climate change enabled her to participate on the national stage with members of Congress and the Obama Administration including the DOE and EPA. Kim is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute's School of Business where she led a market research project for a local restaurant group to understand and improve customer loyalty. Kim is also an active member of Beta Gamma Sigma, National Business Honor Society.
Personal Insights:
In addition to running (with hopes of running a marathon in the near future), Kim is an avid cyclist and hardened (4 season) bicycle commuter. She is interested in foreign languages with a working knowledge of Spanish and a very basic yet growing knowledge of German. Kim looks forward to becoming an active participant in Cambridge’s culturally and academically rich community.
