Founded at Harvard a decade ago by John Della Volpe and Jonathan Chavez, we are fortunate to call on many of the world's most accomplished pollsters, analysts and strategists from the around the world to collaborate on projects for clients in the United States and abroad.  

John Della Volpe

Founder & CEO
John Della Volpe is Founder and CEO of SocialSphere and the Director of Polling at the Harvard Kennedy School's Institute of Politics.  The Washington Post referred to him as one of the world’s leading authorities on understanding global sentiment, opinion and influence especially among Millennials and in the age of digital and social media.  
 
John was named a “Future Legend of Marketing” by the Ad Club of Boston in 2013, received the 2018 Arthur E. Hughes Award for Career Achievement from the University of San Diego and has advised heads of state, Fortune 100 CEOs, military generals, athletes and entertainers on how to use public opinion to tell their story, identify and empower key audiences.
 
In 2008, he received an Eisenhower Fellowship for which he traveled extensively throughout China, Hong Kong, and Korea (including a supervised day in North Korea) studying Millennials and the use of the Internet. A graduate of the University of San Diego, he regularly appears on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and his insights on this generation are found in national media outlets in the U.S. and abroad, including the Daily Show with Trevor Noah.  John serves as President of the New England Association of Eisenhower Fellowships, is a member of the Eisenhower Fellowships Global Alumni Steering Committee, a member of the Ad Club of Boston Board of Directors, and a Trustee for iCatholic Media. 

 

Jonathan Chavez

Co-Founder & Chief Analytics Officer
Jonathan Chavez who began working with John in the early 2000s. A native of Texas and ’05 graduate from Harvard, Jonathan has emerged as one of the most talented analytical minds in America. His statistical models have been used to predict everything from political elections to the efficiency of NBA players, to success on the PGA Tour and box office openings.

 

Richard Berkowitz

Richard Berkowitz, who is also a journalist by training, earned his degrees from Boston College and the Columbia Journalism School. He has spent the better part of the last two decades in public opinion research and policy consulting and is a member of the SocialSphere team responsible for delivering insights to the United States Marine Corps Recruiting Command and the Joyce Foundation.

Slava Brodskiy

Slava Brodskiy is a software industry veteran with over 20 years of experience building software engineering teams and commercial software products, including many of the front and backend platforms used by the SocialSphere team.  Prior to SocialSphere, Slava was VP of Technology at Lycos, Inc. Slava has a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Kharkov State University, Ukraine.
